Assistant Professor
School of Social Work

Braveheart Gillani is a community-minded researcher and practitioner working toward a “beloved community” where dignity, belonging, and shared thriving are the norm. His work explores how masculinities, health systems, and policy shape outcomes—especially for marginalized and climate-vulnerable communities—and how shifting norms can spark ecological care and more equitable futures.

Right now he’s building projects on masculinities, mentorship, LGBT health and notions of belonging. In his spare time, he likes to think and play with dogs!
